On April 25 the BOE published in the Official State Gazette the announcement of the call for applications for the 2025 International Certification Grant Program of the «Mentoring and Support for Internationalization» program of the
Spanish Chamber of Commerce, within the framework of the PRTR.
This aid is designed to support Spanish companies of any size in the costs associated with obtaining certifications for the international marketing of your products and services outside the EU, to facilitate access to new markets and/or customers, as well as to improve the added value of their exports.
This line includes both the certifications mandatory, as the volunteers, (in the case of voluntary certifications, the company must prove that it is an exporting company), provided that they are aimed at the company's export activity (in the case of voluntary certifications, the company must prove that it is an exporting company). exporting company).
What is financed?
Under this call for proposals, funding will be provided exclusively for the following expenses related to the certification process (including approvals and registrations) of the products and services of the companies in markets outside the EU, such as:
- Certification issuance costs.
- Costs of product registration for approval by outside organizations of the EU.
- Consultancy costs necessary to carry out the certification/approval.
- Costs of sample shipment, sample return at the end of testing and/or sample destruction.
- Cost of laboratory tests (in Spain or at destination).
- Costs of clinical trials or research necessary to certify/approve the products.
- Audit costs, if required and always related to the certification/approval process.
- Expenses for renewal/maintenance of certificates, although priority in terms of support will be given to first year certifications.
- Translation costs of documents (e.g. instruction manuals) necessary to obtain the subsidized certification/approval.
What is the help?
The grants will consist of a 80 percent subsidy of the eligible budget to support the costs associated with obtaining international certifications, with the following maximum aid limits per company based on your turnover:
- Companies with a turnover between 300,001 and 1,000,000 euros: 20,000 euros maximum grant on a maximum eligible budget of 25,000 euros.
- Companies with a turnover between 1,000,001 and 5,000,000 euros: 75,000 euros maximum grant on a maximum eligible budget of 93,750 euros.
- Companies with a turnover of 5,000,001 euros or more: 150,000 euros maximum grant on a maximum eligible budget of 187,500 euros.
This aid is subject to a system of minimis.
In order to be considered eligible, the certifications and their associated expenses must be committed, executed and paid between January 1, 2024 and May 31, 2025.
Expenditures incurred will be eligible only if the certification or renewal process has been completed prior to June 15, 2025, evidence of the certification or renewal must be provided at the time of the justification. The payment of aid will be made after the justification.
How to apply?
The application with the proposed certifications along with the relevant documentation should be submitted through the form enabled in the Electronic Headquarters of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce. Only one application per company will be accepted.
The deadline for submission The application process will start at 09:00h (peninsular time) on the following day. monday, april 28, 2025 and it will end at 14:00h (peninsular time) on the following day May 23, 2025.
Grants will be awarded for search warrant The application form must be sent to the Electronic Headquarters until the budget allocated to this call for applications is exhausted (10.500.000 €).
