The next friday, november 14, during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. we will celebrate this activity in the R&D Building C, Río Ebro Campus, University of Zaragoza. C. de Mariano Esquillor Gómez, s/n, 50018 Zaragoza (see location)
The workshop aims to introduce the principles and practices of cybersecurity applied to the industrial sector, addressing risk analysis, security audits and incident management in OT (Operational Technology) and ICS (Industrial Control Systems) environments in an integrated manner.
The first part will present methods for identifying and assessing risks affecting industrial infrastructures, considering both physical and digital threats, and applying methodologies such as MAGERIT or NIST SP 800-30, among others. It will analyze how to prioritize protection measures that balance security and operational continuity.
Subsequently, industrial cybersecurity audits will be studied, from planning and definition of rules of engagement to technical verification, analysis of vulnerabilities in control networks and reporting with specific recommendations for ICS environments.
Finally, incident management and response in industrial environments will be addressed, highlighting the coordination between CSIRT/SOC teams, continuous monitoring, early intrusion detection and the use of cyber-intelligence tools and information sharing.
Overall, the workshop provides a practical and applied view of how to assess, audit and respond to threats in industrial systems, strengthening resilience and operational security in critical infrastructures.
The workshop will be given by Professor Ricardo J. Rodríguez, PhD in Computer Engineering and Full Professor at the University of Zaragoza, principal investigator of the cybersecurity interest group of the RME-DiSCo Research Group, a benchmark in cybersecurity and cyber resilience, with extensive experience in binary analysis, systems security, digital forensics and advanced research in heterogeneous environments and IoT.
👤 Aimed primarily at CISOs, IT managers and IT security managers of industrial companies who wish to strengthen their knowledge in incident assessment, auditing and response.
