On May 6, 2025, ANMOPYC celebrated the first
meeting of its newly created Talent Commission, a working forum for the
The aim of this collaborative project is to address one of the major challenges of the
sector: attracting and retaining professionals

During this meeting, Julio García, Managing Director, was introduced to
HIDROMEK, as coordinator of this Commission, and brought together representatives of several
member companies and leading entities in the sector. The meeting was inaugurated
by Jorge Cuartero, Managing Director of ANMOPYC, who emphasized the urgency of
change the traditional perception of the sector and show its most innovative face,
technological and forward-looking.
During the meeting, the problems that the company is facing were presented.
the sector, such as the low representation of women, the low number of women
staff turnover and gradual aging of workforces and low visibility of opportunities
the sector has to offer. Good practices already in place were also shared,
such as recruitment campaigns in institutes and job fairs, collaboration with
vocational training centers, the promotion of certificates of professionalism and the
adapted to the real needs of the companies or the implementation of
training in alternating contracts.
Particular interest was generated by the interventions focused on
training and requalification of both unemployed and underemployed people.

Talent Commission seeks to move towards a roadmap
to bring together the efforts of associated companies, administrations and
educational institutions. The objective is clear: to ensure generational succession,
improve training and enhance the prestige of the professions linked to the sector.
