ANMOPYC seeks to promote initiatives to attract and train talent in the industry

At the second meeting of the Talent Commission, specific actions were studied to face the challenge of generational replacement, update technical training and position the sector as an attractive destination for young professionals.

With the aim of exposing and seeking solutions to the challenges faced by companies in our sector, the Talent Commission brought together its members on November 27th to make contributions and study initiatives to collaborate. During the session, the urgent need to connect the academic world with the business reality to ensure the competitiveness of the industry was highlighted.

During the meeting, the creation of new Specialization Courses in Vocational Training was discussed. This proposal, led by teaching experts, seeks to design an agile and specific qualification focused on hydraulics, electricity and the current technologies presented by new machinery.

Labor market insertion was also addressed from a global perspective. Successful models for attracting international talent were analyzed, valuing the grouped management of recruitment at origin in Latin American countries through specialized foundations, which would allow companies to overcome individual bureaucratic barriers. At the national level, it was proposed to strengthen alliances with local educational centers, turning them into poles of attraction through direct collaboration with the companies in their environment.

Industry promotion was also high on the agenda. With a view to SMOPYC 2026, ANMOPYC proposed the organization of a specific talent attraction event within the fair, designed to attract students and change the perception of the industry through motivational talks and visits to the stands at the fair of those companies that want to participate in the initiative. Finally, it was agreed to prioritize the proposals with the greatest viability and immediate impact in order to carry out actions in accordance with the interests of the members of this Commission. With this step, ANMOPYC reaffirms its commitment to lead pragmatic solutions, not only to meet the current demand for qualified professionals, but also to build a training ecosystem of excellence to ensure the future of the sector in Spain.
