Canopy Brands Acquires ALBA

Canopy Brands reaches new heights with the acquisition of ALBA, a specialist in lifting and access solutions for the construction industry.

The group grows with the addition of a leading international manufacturer of rack and pinion elevators and suspended platforms.

Canopy Brands, a family of prestigious brands, has announced the acquisition of the rack and pinion elevators and electric suspended scaffolding divisions of Alba-Macrel Group (commonly known as "Alba"), a specialist in lifting equipment.

Founded in 1957 in the Basque Country, Alba is a leading manufacturer of rack and pinion elevators and suspended platforms, with operations in 77 countries. Its U.S. distributor, Bee Access, is already a division of Canopy Brands. Alba’s product line includes passenger and material elevators, transport platforms, mast climbing work platforms, and electric suspended scaffolding. With over 20,000 square meters of facilities, in-house engineering, and automated manufacturing equipment, Alba is well-positioned to grow alongside Canopy Brands.

Alba represents a strategic addition to Bee Access, the North American leader in temporary and permanent access solutions. This acquisition enhances international distribution, strengthens teams focused on rack and pinion products, and creates new growth opportunities, particularly as construction hoists increasingly replace traditional tubular scaffolding.
