According to the data published by Seopan, the largest increase occurred in Local Administration, which accounted for 51.1% of the tenders and grew by 26.4% compared to the first month of last year.
Public works tenders amounted to 1,612,491 thousand euros in January 2024, a fall of -3.8%, compared to the volume tendered in the same period of the previous year, when they reached 1,676,630 thousand euros, according to data published by the Asociación de Empresas Constructoras y Concesionarias de Infraestructuras (Seopan) (Association of Infrastructure Construction and Concession Companies) and that includes the Construction Industry Observatory.
Of the total, 51.1% corresponded to tenders from the Local Administration, which grew the most, by 26.4%; for its part, the Autonomous Administration accounted for 29.8%, increasing its year-on-year rate by 1.3%. However, the General Administration accounted for 19.1% of the volume tendered and fell in the annual variation by -44%.
