On June 12 and 13, Ritchie Bros. España held one of the most important largest online auctions in the last five years.
In the second quarter of the year there has been a change in the trendThe global demand for used equipment remains strong and has further increased its international reach even though it is down 15% from the first quarter of the year. “We are seeing an increased propensity to sell from our customers when Spain is usually characterized as a buyer's country,” says Valero Serentill, Sales Director of Ritchie Bros. Iberia. He adds: “This auction has been a great success; we have sold a large volume of lots even though we are close to a European market that has an availability of newer and less used equipment.
A total of 2,278 bidders participated in Ocaña's scheduled online auction in June. Of these, 787 have purchased any of the 2,384 lots sold in this auction. Buyers came from 31 different countries around the world; the majority from Spain, Portugal, Poland, Greece and Germany.
The 5 categories of outstanding equipment The most popular items at this auction were mini-excavators (1-4.9 tons), lifting platforms, wheel loaders, vans and agricultural tractors.
Featured equipment sold in this auction:
- Volvo FH16-750 6×4 - Tractor unit of the year 2018, sold for 75,000 € (to a buyer from Armenia).
- Cat 773 E - 2002 rigid dump truck, sold for 59.000 € (to a buyer from Spain)
- Porsche Panamera - Vehicle of the year 2019, sold for 46,000 € (to a buyer from Portugal).
- Hitachi ZW180 - Wheel loader, year 2008, sold for 43.000 € (to a buyer from France)
- John Deere 7820 - Farm tractor, year 2003, sold for 26.000 € (to a buyer from Holland)
