The 20th edition of the International Exhibition of Public Works, Construction and Mining Machinery (SMOPYC), to be held at Feria de Zaragoza from April 15-18, 2026, registers a significant commercial advance and confirms an increase in its exhibition capacity Regarding the latest call for applications.
More surface area, a new pavilion, and reinforcement of the outdoor area
To date, SMOPYC 2026 has reached 107,383 square meters gross, which represents a crecimiento del 26,66% Regarding the previous edition. This increase in space will allow companies to showcase a wider range of equipment and solutions, as well as improve the experience for professional visitors.
The event will feature one more pavilion than in 2023 thanks to the opening of Pavilion 5, which will be mainly dedicated to earthmoving, aggregates, and concrete companies. Additionally, SMOPYC is recovering and expanding its outdoor area, a strategic space designed for the exhibition of large-format machinery, where visitors will be able to see the equipment in operation live.
SMOPYC 2026 already adds 1,103 exhibitors from 32 countries, a fact that reinforces SMOPYC's role as the sector's main meeting point in Southern Europe. With this commercial momentum, the expansion of surface area, the Outdoor area recovery and the Incorporation of Pavilion 5, SMOPYC 2026 prepares to celebrate a 20th edition that will be especially relevant for the public works, construction, and mining machinery industry.
SMOPYC will continue to focus on innovation, technology, and sustainability, strengthening its role as a meeting point for presenting new products, closing deals, and analyzing the sector's major challenges. Its offering is structured into different areas: earthmoving and components; aggregates and concrete; lifting; drilling; industrial vehicles; auxiliary equipment, and outdoor demonstration areas. As a new feature, the trade fair will incorporate the Innovation Pavilion, a space dedicated to highlighting the market's most advanced solutions.
