{"id":5841,"date":"2025-10-27T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-10-27T05:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2025-12-11T13:00:44","modified_gmt":"2025-12-11T13:00:44","slug":"ia-literacy-a-key-obligation-for-companies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anmopyc.es\/en\/alfabetizacion-en-materia-de-ia-una-obligacion-clave-para-las-empresas\/","title":{"rendered":"AI literacy: a key obligation for enterprises"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">The <b>Regulation (EU) 2024\/1689<\/b>, published on July 12, 2024 and effective as of August 1, 2024, is the first global legal framework on artificial intelligence. Although the RIA will be fully applicable as of August 2, 2026, some provisions, such as the <b>prohibitions on certain AI systems<\/b> and the <b>AI literacy requirements<\/b> are applicable as of August 2, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><b>What does Article 4 of the RIA require?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Article 4 states that AI system providers and implementers must adopt measures to ensure a <b>sufficient level of AI literacy <\/b>among your staff and others responsible for the operation and use of these systems on your behalf. Training should be tailored to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">The technical knowledge of each person<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">His experience and education.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">The context of use of AI systems.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">The roles and responsibilities of personnel interacting with the AI.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><b>What is meant by AI literacy?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">The concept of AI literacy is defined in the <b>article 3, paragraph 56<\/b>, RIA as well as the <b>capabilities, knowledge and understanding that enable vendors, implementers and users to make an informed deployment of AI systems.<\/b> This includes:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Know your rights and obligations within the RIA framework.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Understand the opportunities and risks of AI.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Recognize the potential harms that the use of AI systems could generate.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">In other words, AI literacy is not limited to technical aspects: it seeks to ensure that everyone involved can use AI responsibly, safely and in compliance with current regulations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><b>Importance of Article 4 for companies<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Article 4 is<b> The key to ensuring that those responsible for deploying AI systems equip their staff with the necessary skills is to ensure that<\/b> on the systems provided or implemented. It affects anyone who interacts directly with AI and complements other provisions of the RIA, such as:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Transparency (Article 13), which requires clarity in the operation of the IA systems.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Human supervision (Article 14), which ensures adequate control over AI behavior.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">In addition, it contributes indirectly to the <b>protection of affected persons<\/b> by IA systems, ensuring that RIA standards are effectively met.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><b>How to comply with the AI literacy requirement<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">To comply with Article 4, companies must:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Ensure sufficient training for all personnel involved in the development, deployment or use of AI systems.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Ensure that employees understand risks, benefits, legal obligations and protective measures associated with the use of AI.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Adapt training to the role and responsibilities of each employee.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Encourage continuous learning, as AI evolves rapidly and requires constant updating of knowledge.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El Reglamento (UE) 2024\/1689, publicado el 12 de julio de 2024 y en vigor desde el 1 de agosto de 2024, constituye el primer marco jur\u00eddico global sobre inteligencia artificial.
