The company attends local trade fairs to showcase all its products

The Middle East is a rapidly expanding region where business opportunities are continually growing. Currently, areas such as Saudi Arabia are undergoing a wave of massive new constructions, including 17 "gigaprojects" that range from entire cities to luxury hotels, theme parks, recreational spaces, and public areas. These developments are being designed with the enjoyment of all types of people in mind, making accessibility a key focus, especially in new constructions.

Last month, the Saudi Rehab Expo took place in Riyadh, an international event that provided an opportunity to learn about the latest findings in research, studies, and technologies in accessibility and rehabilitation. The expo highlighted various solutions and services to improve the lives of people with disabilities.

NaviLens, AIS Certification, and projects like Saudi Arabia Railways

The fair featured over 150 exhibitors, including Implaser, represented by its official distributor in the Middle East, NAFFCO. At the event, the Aragonese company showcased:

  • Accessible technologies such as NaviLens, a system designed to empower people with disabilities, which has already begun to be implemented in the Middle East. Connectivity and telecommunications have opened numerous options for people with disabilities to alleviate challenges related to communication, mobility, and information, with NaviLens being a prime example.
  • Internationalization and global harmonization strategies, thanks to AIS Certification. Alongside its CEO, Esther Bienes, they presented the Accessibility Indicator System (AIS), a standard that certifies the accessibility level of services, facilities, and products. It adheres to criteria of usability, comfort, and safety for all people, regardless of their characteristics and needs.
  • Projects carried out locally, such as the one for Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR). Implaser has incorporated accessible elements on the railway line connecting Riyadh to the Jordanian border, including:

            - 649 tactile routing strips.

            - 060 tactile routing points.

            - 864 color-contrast stair nosings.

            - 272 haptic signs.

            -   78 informational signs.

            - 200 NaviLens codes.

            - 336 meters of directional vinyl.

             -  72 restroom alert systems.

             -  48 directories.

             -  48 haptic handrails.

             -  18 magnetic induction loops.

Objective: Business Expansion in the Middle East

Implaser's strategic plan includes the goal of expanding business in the Middle East, a region in constant development. Following the SAR project, the Aragonese company is working to further penetrate this market. They are already in contact with various local entities, and given the strict and well-focused regulations ensuring all buildings are accessible, their aim is to establish themselves prominently as the only company capable of offering a comprehensive 360º accessibility service.

Complete Support with Certified Technicians

Implaser provides full support to companies and entities to integrate accessibility, starting with a preliminary study. This is followed by review, improvement proposals, implementation of solutions, and culminating in obtaining AIS certification, which confirms compliance with optimal accessibility standards.

This is made possible by Implaser's certified technicians who accompany clients throughout the process. Besides conducting the necessary studies, the company manufactures accessibility products and services, guiding businesses to achieve success and excellence in accessibility.

Striving for Fully Accessible Spaces

Implaser is a manufacturer of safety signage, which also aids people with disabilities in critical situations like evacuations from public spaces. It's important to note that accessible evacuation routes and common routes are not usually the same.

Through its products, services, and guidance, the company aims to create fully accessible places in Saudi Arabia and other parts of the Middle East. The Implaser team has also ventured into other areas like Dubai, a city with great potential. Dubai also has strict accessibility legislation and codes, making it mandatory for new constructions to be accessible.
