MOLDTECH is participating in the installation of a hydraulic mold for a high-speed railway line in the UK. The company has introduced a new hydraulic mold for precast bridge piles as part of this high-speed rail project.
The collaboration between Moldtech and the client, a leading Spanish company pioneering the use of precast infrastructure, marks a significant advance in bridge construction. By using precast elements, which are traditionally cast in situ, the project ensures high standards of quality, speed, and efficiency.
Moldtech, a leader in concrete precast equipment, has recently completed the installation of a mold for bridge piles in the UK as part of the ambitious HS2 high-speed rail project. This partnership strengthens the leadership of both companies in advancing modern infrastructure construction.
The mold provided by Moldtech is designed to produce bridge piles of varying heights, with significant dimensions and weight. It allows for the concrete casting of these elements in a 90º rotated position, featuring a fixed base, hydraulically operated sides for opening and closing, and adjustable closing caps to accommodate the different pile heights required by the project.
The mold operates with high efficiency thanks to its hydraulic system, and its robust construction ensures excellent tolerances, resulting in high-quality parts.
In addition to the mold, Moldtech has also supplied a custom-made tool for the production of reinforcements, a crucial complement to ensure precision and efficiency in the fabrication of these concrete piles.
The mold is currently producing components at full capacity at the client’s UK facility to meet the project's demanding production requirements.
