MOLDTECH completes a new assembly in Chile
It involves a 3D mold for modular housing
Moldtech and its Chilean partner join efforts to take a step forward in industrialized construction (PPVC) and achieve the introduction of this innovative system for housing execution in Latin America.
Our charismatic and loyal client's company was established in 1972 as a concrete factory in Chile, becoming a national leader in this product line and currently operating four manufacturing plants.
With the aim of staying at the forefront and always seeking innovative products that deliver constructive solutions through the use of prefabricated concrete, our client has incorporated European technologies where Moldtech plays its role as a strategic ally.
Concrete modular homes are efficient and sustainable constructions that use prefabricated blocks, manufactured in specialized factories. These blocks allow great versatility in architectural design, from single-family homes to multi-story buildings.
Performance in the construction process is achieved by significantly reducing construction times and the ability to work in any season of the year in controlled factory environments. Additionally, these blocks offer good thermal insulation, contributing to energy efficiency and savings in heating and cooling costs.
Concrete durability also reduces long-term maintenance costs. Although the initial investment may be similar to traditional construction, process efficiency can result in an overall cost reduction.
Concrete modular homes incorporate modern technologies and allow customization in design to suit individual preferences.
A 3D mold for modular housing 7-5x3M is supplied to our client, designed for the manufacture of precast concrete non-prestressed housing modules, including slab and walls, in one piece.
The mold is designed according to the dimensions and specific requirements provided by the client.
- Variable manufactured piece length of 5 and 7 meters.
- Fixed manufactured piece width of 3 meters.
- Variable manufactured piece height between 2.50 and 3 meters.
- Formwork for doors, windows, and roofs.
- Hydraulic system for mold opening and closing. Pneumatic vibration system.
This strategic collaboration between Moldtech and its Chilean partner is a progress in the Chilean construction industry. As they combine their expertise and resources, they are taking a bold step towards the future of industrialized construction, paving the way for more effective, sustainable, and visionary projects. This chapter in the construction history promises not only to transform the way homes are built but also to lay the groundwork for a new standard of innovation in the sector.
