MOLDTECH, fourth tilting table in Monterrey

Moldtech continues to consolidate its position as a leader in precast concrete solutions, having recently completed the installation of a fourth tilting table at our client’s facility in Monterrey, Mexico. This client, renowned for the high quality of its products and its registered trademark of precast elements, has once again trusted Moldtech to expand its production capacity.

The new tilting table, specifically designed for the production of non-prestressed precast concrete panels, stands out for its impressive dimensions: a total length of 60 meters, with a variable height between 3 and 4 meters, and an adjustable thickness between 100 and 250 mm. This table is equipped with a pneumatic vibration system and pre-installed heating system using hot water or steam, ensuring adaptability to various production conditions.

The table’s tilting system, along with the height adjustment and movement of the side forms, is managed by hydraulic cylinders connected to a hydraulic power unit, controlled from a main cabinet and a remote control. The table is composed of five modules, each 11.8 meters long, forming a continuous production line 60 meters long by 4 meters wide.

Each module includes a fixed frame with supports anchored to the foundation and a tilting surface capable of inclining up to 74º, facilitating the production of high-quality panels. The upper and lower longitudinal side forms, designed to be height adjustable, allow for the manufacture of panels with exact dimensions and perfect finishes. The upper side form, equipped with a removable tongue-and-groove profile and a frictionless lifting system, ensures efficient, uninterrupted production.

Additionally, 10 units of magnetic formwork chassis, adaptable to panels of varying widths, have been supplied, increasing production versatility. Moldtech has also performed extensive polishing of the table surface, ensuring a first-class finish for each panel produced, regardless of the type of concrete used.

With this latest delivery, a project that began in 2021 with the installation of two 60-meter tables has been completed. The third table was delivered in 2023, and now, with the addition of the fourth table in August of this year, our client in Monterrey possesses the largest panel production capacity in the region, with a daily capacity of 1,800 square meters.
