The RUBI group closes successfully its first RUBI scholarship
Last June, 15 young students received the RUBI scholarship
RUBI Group offered them a week of theoretical and practical training in its facilities.
Rubí (Barcelona), 30th November 2022. RUBI Group regularly develops multiple training projects in order to be faithful to its corporate purpose: “Better professionals. Better places”. One of its main goals is to continue contributing in the professionalisation of the sector, providing support to future professional tile installers.
For this reason, five collaboration agreements with vocational training centres were signed last year, followed by three new agreements for the 22/23 academic year. This project called "RUBI with Vocational Centres" includes the donation of a large batch of RUBI tools and machines for their training practices with the commitment to maintain and renew them over time, specific training carried out by RUBI product trainers, both for students and teachers as needed, and a visit to the RUBI main production centre in Santa Oliva (Tarragona).
Within the framework of "RUBI with Vocational Centres ", RUBI Group launched the "RUBI Scholarship" held last June in its main facilities (Santa Oliva, Spain). The "RUBI Scholarship" gave 15 students from five Vocational Training Centres the opportunity to specialise in cutting and laying ceramics. They received theoretical and practical training for a week at the hands of PROALSO (Professional Association of Tile Fixers in Spain).
In addition, the "RUBI Scholarship" guarantees each student the membership fee of PROALSO for 1 year, access to its job bank, its professional card and a certificate of attendance for students who have completed the theoretical and practical course. This scholarship is meant to be expanded to other markets where RUBI brand has a solid presence, so many other future tiling professionals could benefit of it.
Finally, it should be noted that for the practical training sessions, the RUBI Group had several partners from the sector who donated products necessary for the ceramic tile installation process: Fila, Grupo Puma, Neolith and Schluter Systems.
With this approach to teaching, the RUBI Group collaborates in the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) selected within its global strategy of Corporate Social Responsibility. Specifically, the SDGs "4. Quality education", "8. Decent work and economic growth", "10. Reduction of inequalities" and "17. Partnerships to achieve the goals" are those linked to this project.
