The RUBI Group supports future professionals to continue with the professionalization of the ceramic tile-laying trade.
RUBI has already carried out five online trainings for Vocational Training students linked to the construction sector.
The RUBI Group works continuously to promote and professionalize the ceramic tile fixer's trade through different training activities. To achieve this purpose, RUBI has given, and will continue to give support to students in the construction sector.
Since its inauguration, RUBI's main production and logistics centre in Santa Oliva (Tarragona, Spain) has received thousands of students, with the aim of showing RUBI's ceramic tile installation tools in a didactic and practical way, thus distinguishing the tiler's trade as one of the most outstanding within the construction process. For this reason, this year 2021, five collaborative agreements have been signed with five Vocational Training Centres where the Intermediate Degrees in Construction and Interior Works, Decoration and Restoration are taught.
The RUBI Group, under its corporate purpose “Better professionals. Better places" is committed to supporting vocational training students, the future professionals of the construction sector. For this reason, RUBI gives grants to five Vocational Training centres, located in Catalonia (Spain). The grant includes a large batch of RUBI tools and machines for their training practices, along with the commitment to maintain and renew these tools over time, and specific masterclasses carried out by RUBI's Product Training department, both for students and teachers as needed, and a visit to the Santa Oliva factory and facilities, as soon as the current public health situation caused by Covid-19 is regularized.
From March to May five webinars were held for the students of these centres. In these online training sessions, given by RUBI Product Trainers, the different tools necessary for the optimal installation of ceramic tiles were presented, while emphasis was placed on new trends such as the installation of large format pieces. In the future, these training sessions will be held both online and in person, in order to put into practice everything that has been learned and thus bring the ceramic installation trade even closer to young professionals.
With this approach to training and teaching, the RUBI Group collaborates in the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) selected within its global strategy of Corporate Social Responsibility. Specifically, SDGs “4.Quality education”, “8. Decent work and economic growth” “10.Reduced inequalities” and “17.Partnerships for the goals” most closely related to this collaboration.
RUBI currently has an international presence in more than 120 countries and a team of more than 600 professionals in 11 subsidiaries. The corporation is committed to continue offering regular training and thus, to contributing to the development of construction sector professionals at all stages of their working life.
