ULMA, 14,000 m² of its BRIO scaffolding for the repair of a bridge
This railway crossing has relied on the scaffolding solutions provided by ULMA Construction
The rehabilitation of the bridge over the ravine of Rivera de Huesna, located in the municipality of Villanueva del Río y Minas and housing the railway line from Mérida to Los Rosales.
The project has focused on the repair of the bridge, which was originally composed of a metal structure. Subsequently, concrete arches were executed to form its current structure. The 222-meter-long bridge rests on 8 vaulted arches of different types. The project required a suitable technical solution, a significant amount of material, and adaptation to the terrain. To provide the best customer service, the technical study was carried out using 3D technology in Revit. Sebastian Salvatierra, the Mounting Coordinator Supervisor at ULMA, emphasized that "3D technology offers a much more accurate study of reality and a more precise assembly forecast."
